The Victory Party presents its mayoral candidates in Izmir
The Victory Party has officially introduced its mayoral candidates for the 31 March Local Government General Elections in Izmir. The event took place in an event hall in Bayraklı district, where the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate and the district mayor candidates were announced.
During the program, party representative Özdağ addressed the audience, expressing the party’s commitment to providing voters with a clear choice in the upcoming elections. He also highlighted the ongoing threat posed by the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), stressing the importance of remaining vigilant against the organization’s influence in the state.
In his speech, Özdağ accused the CHP of compromising the interests of Izmir and its citizens, claiming that the party had given resources to terrorist sympathizers and contractors. He also criticized the CHP for its nomination of Tunç Soyer as the mayoral candidate, suggesting that Soyer’s allegiance lies with the DEM Party rather than the CHP.
Özdağ outlined the party’s pledge to implement various projects at the local level and introduced Naşit Birgüvi as the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate. Additionally, a list of district mayor candidates was also announced, including Erdinç Tahtacı in Aliağa, Eyüp Tunç in Bayraklı, Belgin Çiçeksever in Bornova, Mustafa Dinçer in Buca, Sedat Üzen in Karabağlar, Süleyman Şenol in Konak, Berna Camcı in Urla, Emine Göçay in Torbalı, Zehra Turnacı in Çeşme, Selahattin Erniş in Çiğli, Cengiz Gökbayrak in Karşıyaka, and Turan Güraksın in Tire.
The Victory Party plans to announce the rest of its district mayor candidates at a later date. With the candidates now in place, the stage is set for an exciting election campaign as Izmir prepares to choose its new leaders.
