“Lawsuit Filed Over Unzoned Land for Tiny Houses”

Tiny house owners in Edirne, Turkey are growing concerned after the Governorate’s recent actions. Cem Demirer, a producer of tiny houses, noted that while there may be a criminal complaint about the sale of agricultural lands, there is no direct issue with tiny houses or caravans. However, Demirer did state that zoning laws would be applicable to fixed tiny houses, while road traffic laws would cover wheeled tiny houses. He also added that if a tiny house had an O2 certificate and a legally registered license plate for highways, it could be installed. Despite the uncertainty, demand for tiny houses has reportedly risen by 100% as they offer an affordable way to own a house with a garden bigger than a caravan but smaller than a typical home.
