The President requested the participation of Turkish Armed Forces elements in UNIFIL for another year, starting from October 31, 2024, in accordance with the decisions of the UNSC and the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

The memorandum underscores Turkey’s commitment to supporting UNIFIL’s mission and contributing to peace and stability in the region, as well as strengthening its bilateral relations with Lebanon.
