Four Citizens Renounce Religious Extremism in Kyrgyzstan
In a positive development, four citizens in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan have renounced their extremist views. The Internal Affairs Department of the region made the announcement, stating that four men, aged 50, 49, 35, and 38, who were previously convicted in Leilek district, voluntarily gave up the ideology of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.
In a video message, the men declared that they no longer have any association with the extremist group and do not support their prohibited ideology. This decision marks a significant step in countering extremism in the region.
