Lessons from Democratic Elections Around the World
Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, voted in the 2nd Presidential Election in Alanya, his hometown in Antalya on May 28, 2023. Accompanied by his wife Hülya Çavuşoğlu, he chatted with citizens at the Turks Ayşen Cengiz Urfalıoğlu Primary School before casting his ballot at ballot box number 2333. Speaking to reporters, Çavuşoğlu expressed his appreciation to the people for participating in the election and said that the election taught a lesson to the whole world. He also thanked all citizens living abroad for their enthusiasm and music while casting their votes. Çavuşoğlu emphasized the importance of protecting democracy and hoped that the elections would be beneficial for the country and the nation. He also highlighted the significance of Azerbaijan’s independence anniversary and expressed his good wishes to the Turkish nation and the Turkish world.
