On April 29, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, alongside Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, visited the administrative headquarters of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (TCHF) in Baku. The visit highlights ongoing efforts to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural tapestry of the Turkic peoples.
Upon arrival, Leyla and Arzu were warmly welcomed by TCHF President Aktoty Raimkulova, who provided an overview of the Foundation’s initiatives aimed at safeguarding the shared heritage of Turkic nations. Leyla Aliyeva expressed her admiration for the Foundation’s commitment to promoting the history and culture of the Turkic world on an international platform. She emphasized the crucial role of involving younger generations in the Foundation’s projects and events to ensure the longevity and flourishing of Turkic heritage.
The visitors also toured the TCHF museum, where they engaged with traditional handicrafts and a range of exhibits showcasing the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic nations. The tour culminated in a vibrant cultural program featuring performances of Turkic music and dance, further enriching the experience.
At the conclusion of her visit, Leyla Aliyeva signed the Foundation’s guest book, marking an important moment in fostering collaboration among Turkic nations.
Established at the initiative of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation aims to preserve, restore, and promote the heritage of Turkic peoples through various engaging projects and events. The organization is composed of member states including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkiye, with Hungary participating as an observer.
This visit underscores the commitment of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its leadership to the revitalization and promotion of Turkic culture, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in safeguarding this invaluable heritage for future generations.
