Ligeti’s Olympic Journey Continues in Consolation Round
Hungarian wrestler Dániel Ligeti faced a tough loss in the quarter-finals of the 125 kg freestyle wrestling weight class at the Paris Olympics. The defeat came at the hands of Turkish champion Taha Akgül, leaving Ligeti with hopes of continuing in the consolation bracket.
Ligeti, a three-time Olympian, started his campaign strong by defeating Nigerian silver medalist Ashton Adeyemi Mutuwa. However, his match against Akgül proved to be a difficult challenge, as the Turkish wrestler dominated the bout with a 7-0 victory.
