Lightning strikes caused fires in 50 places in Muğla
A recent thunderstorm in Muğla and its districts between September 1-5 resulted in multiple fires due to lightning strikes. According to a statement from the Regional Directorate of Forestry, lightning struck many points during the storm, causing forest fires to break out in 50 different regions.
Fortunately, with prompt interventions both on land and from the air, the forest fires were extinguished before they could spread further. However, approximately 5 hectares of forest land were damaged as a result of these fires.
The authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are taking necessary measures to prevent any future incidents. It serves as a reminder of the importance of being prepared for such natural disasters and the need for swift response to protect our environment.
