Low Attendance on Day 2 of Istanbul Feast: Traffic Down by 60%
The 9-day Ramadan holiday has come to an end, and as people return to their homes from holiday resorts, the roads of Istanbul are notably empty on the second day of the feast. According to the traffic map of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), traffic density was measured at 35 percent at 12:00 pm.
The TEM Motorway was reported to have fluent traffic, and aerial images showed empty roads across the city.
Meanwhile, the Meteorology Department has issued a new warning for several provinces across the country. Residents of Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, among others, are advised to prepare for snow, rain, and possible torrential weather conditions in the coming days.
