Major Homeowner and Tenant Alert: Minister Şimşek Announces Start of Critical Implementation – Breaking News
Ministry Units Finalize Preparations for Lease Agreement Transactions via e-Government Gateway
The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, along with the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, have completed their preparations for lease agreement transactions to be conducted through the e-Government Gateway. This initiative comes as a response to the demands of citizens seeking to streamline and resolve disputes related to lease agreements.
According to the Ministry’s study, the service titled “Lease Agreement Transactions” will be available in two stages through the e-Government Gateway. In the first phase, citizens will be able to access the service shortly, allowing the real estate owner to prepare the contract, which the tenant can approve via e-Government. The second phase, scheduled to be operational by the end of the year, will enable real estate consultants and authorized individuals to draft contracts for approval by both parties.
With the implementation of this service, rental agreements will be created as time-stamped “barcoded documents,” simplifying document verification processes. Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, highlighted the inclusive nature of this service, emphasizing its benefits for all segments of society.
Minister Şimşek stated, “Through the e-Government Gateway, citizens will have quick, easy, and secure access to lease contract transactions, irrespective of their location, without the hassle of paperwork. This application will allow citizens to create contracts on a reliable government platform, eliminating the need to submit lease contracts to institutions. Moreover, data collected will contribute to the creation of the Türkiye Real Estate Value Map.”
In addition to the official statement, Minister Şimşek took to social media to announce the reform practice, underscoring the government’s commitment to reducing bureaucracy and facilitating seamless transactions for citizens.
Overall, the introduction of lease agreement transactions via the e-Government Gateway marks a significant step towards modernizing and streamlining administrative processes for the benefit of all citizens.
