Turkish Armed Forces Strike Against Terrorism in Northern Iraq
Istanbul – The Turkish Armed Forces have reported significant progress in their ongoing operations against terrorist groups in northern Iraq. According to a recent update shared via the Ministry’s social media channels, search operations in the Penche-Kilit region have led to the discovery and destruction of a cave utilized by terrorists.
In this operation, Turkish forces seized a substantial cache of weaponry and supplies. Among the items found were 10 handguns, 20 magazines, a hand-held radio, 75 high-powered binoculars, and various other equipment intended for use by the terrorist organization.
The textbook operation underscores the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorist threats in the region. In addition to firearms, the forces discovered two Dragunov sniper magazines, multiple sets of night-vision gear, and various health supplies, further indicating the level of preparedness by the terrorists.
The destruction of the cave and the confiscation of these resources represent a significant blow to terrorist operations in northern Iraq. The Turkish military continues to conduct comprehensive search and screening activities to ensure the safety and security of the region.
