Car Accident in Palandöken Leaves Three Injured

A serious accident occurred in the Palandöken district at approximately 21:15, involving a car that veered off the road and fell approximately five meters into a ravine. The incident took place near Tuzcu Küme Houses and involved a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Furkan K., who lost control of his car, plate number 71 Annex 177.

Witnesses reported the incident to emergency services, prompting swift response from health, fire, and police teams. As the emergency responders arrived, it was discovered that Furkan K. was seated in the rear alongside Ercan B., while Kadir Ö. was trapped in the front passenger seat. Firefighters worked tirelessly to extract Kadir from the vehicle, using ropes to secure the car for safe removal.

Furkan K. later recounted his experience to traffic police, stating, "The car is old, my headlights are troubled. I thought I could see the road signs; I turned back but it was not the road. After that, I didn’t understand what happened."

Abdulkerim Çelik, a local resident and witness, described the scene: “I was coming from below with a tractor when I saw them going down the hamlet road.”

Following the accident, the injured individuals—including driver Furkan K. and passengers Ercan B. and Kadir Ö.—were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities assess the circumstances surrounding the crash. Community members are urging for improved road signage and lighting in the area to prevent further incidents.
