Malaysian Company to Bring Gas Station Network to Tashkent

The founder of FIVE Petroleum Malaysia has announced plans to expand their network of gas stations to Uzbekistan, beginning in the capital city of Tashkent before spreading to other regions. This decision was revealed during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoev and King Lim Chin Fui, the CEO of FIVE Petroleum Malaysia.

The discussions at the meeting revolved around potential investment opportunities in Uzbekistan. King Lim expressed interest in carrying out an agreement made with the Samarkand regional administration earlier this year, which involved a project to manufacture aluminum cans. Furthermore, the Malaysian company has shown willingness to collaborate with local soft drink producers in Uzbekistan for the supply of these aluminum cans.

In addition to the aluminum can project, an agreement was reached to initiate the establishment of a chain of modern gas stations in Tashkent city, with plans to extend to other parts of the country. A working visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation from FIVE Petroleum Malaysia is in the works to further solidify these plans.

FIVE Petroleum Malaysia, established in 2020, currently operates more than 110 gas stations in Malaysia and holds a 60% ownership stake in BHPetrol, which boasts over 400 gas stations. With their experience and expertise in the fuel industry, their entry into the Uzbek market is sure to bring innovation and quality service to local consumers.
