Malaysian Company to Open Golf Club Near Tashkent

A new 100-hectare resort complex is set to be developed in the Tashkent region, potentially in the Parkent, Akhangaran, or Bostanlyk districts. The project will be a collaboration between local authorities and a Malaysian investor, as announced by the regional administration’s press service.
The development will include a golf club and recreational zone, with plans to create a luxury resort area featuring a hotel complex and golf courses. The negotiations for the project took place during a working visit to Malaysia, where a delegation led by regional governor Zoyir Mirzayev met with representatives of The Mines Resort and Golf Club. An agreement was reached to implement the joint project on a site covering approximately 100 hectares.
In addition to the resort complex, discussions were also held with The Food Base, a company that produces low-calorie sugar granules, and Right Food, a producer of artificial meat and vegetarian protein-based fast food. These talks aim to explore potential collaborations in the food industry.
This new project follows previous discussions about the creation of a joint Uzbekistan-Malaysia industrial zone in the Parkent district, which was initiated during talks between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim earlier this year. The partnership with Malaysian investors is seen as a strategic move to boost economic development and attract foreign investment to the region.
