Malaysian Firm Eyeing Investments in Uzbekistan

Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Karomiddin Gadoyev, recently met with the founder and CEO of FIVE Petroleum Malaysia, King Lim Chin Fui. During the meeting, the two discussed various investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and the potential for implementing projects in the Samarkand region.

The Malaysian entrepreneur expressed his interest in collaborating with enterprises in Uzbekistan for the production of soft drinks and the supply of aluminum containers for them. Additionally, an agreement was made to initiate a project to establish a network of gas stations equipped with modern equipment in Tashkent, with plans to expand to other regions of the country.

As a result of the fruitful discussions, a company delegation from FIVE Petroleum Malaysia is set to visit Uzbekistan next month to further explore business opportunities and partnerships.

FIVE Petroleum Malaysia, founded in 2020, currently operates over 110 petrol stations in Malaysia and owns a majority stake in BHPetrol, which boasts more than 400 gas stations nationwide.

The meeting between Ambassador Gadoyev and CEO King Lim Chin Fui signifies a positive step towards enhancing economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, paving the way for mutually beneficial projects in the future.
