The state committee stated that the detainee, who had previous connections with members of an organized crime group led by crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev (Kamchybek Asanbek), acquired the Makarov pistol with ammunition from an unidentified individual under the pretense of ensuring his own security.

As part of the ongoing criminal investigation, a search was conducted at the man’s residence, resulting in the seizure of the combat pistol and seven cartridges. The individual has been placed in a pre-trial detention center, and a ballistic examination of the confiscated weapon is scheduled.

The incident highlights the efforts of law enforcement authorities in Kyrgyzstan to combat the illegal possession of firearms and dismantle organized crime networks operating within the country.
