Man Receives Life Sentence for Raping Five-Year-Old Girl

The Kara-Suu District Court has handed down a life imprisonment sentence to a 31-year-old man convicted of raping a five-year-old girl. The Osh Regional Court confirmed this information to 24.kg news agency.
The accused was found guilty of illegally entering a house, abducting the child, and committing a violent sexual assault with particular cruelty. As a result, he has been sentenced to life imprisonment with property confiscation, to be served in a maximum-security prison.
The decision can be appealed in the Osh Regional Court.
Reports from April 2024 indicated that the man had abducted the child from her home in the morning and sexually assaulted her on the outskirts of the village.
Justice has been served in this case, but it is a stark reminder of the importance of protecting our children and ensuring that perpetrators of such heinous crimes are held accountable for their actions.
