Serious injuries and one fatality resulted from a collision between a light commercial vehicle and a car on the D-100 Highway in the Yumrukaya locality. Melike Taşkın, the driver of the commercial vehicle, collided with a car driven by Mehmet Özbey, who was trying to cross the highway. The impact threw both vehicles into the median strip. Mualla Özbey and Meryem Tombul, who were passengers in the car, suffered serious injuries, and Mualla Özbey died despite medical intervention. The driver of the commercial vehicle and three passengers were also injured. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, and Mehmet Özbey survived the accident unharmed.
