Manisa Collision Turns Into War Zone

A total of 6 people were injured in a head-on collision between two cars at an intersection in Manisa’s Kula district. The accident took place at around 22:30 at the Gökçeören Ring Road junction of the İzmir-Ankara D300 highway. The collision occurred between a car with plate number 35 BYZ 84, driven by İbrahim Can Kaya, traveling from Uşak to Izmir, and a car with plate number 35 HN 288, driven by Alim Avcı, who was trying to connect to the D300 highway from Gökçeören Ring Road.

Both vehicles skidded due to the impact of the collision, resulting in injuries to both drivers and passengers. Among the injured were Fikri Kaya, Fatma Kaya, Yasemin Kaya, and Yüksel Akbaba. Emergency services, including the fire brigade, ambulance, gendarmerie, and traffic police, were quickly dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports of the accident.

Fatma Kaya and Fikri Kaya, who managed to exit their vehicles, were taken to Kula State Hospital, while the other injured individuals were taken to Salihli State Hospital. It was reported that Alim Avcı and Yasemin Kaya were in serious condition.

As a result of the accident, the Izmir direction of the D300 highway was temporarily closed to traffic. However, after the vehicles involved in the collision were removed from the road, traffic flow returned to normal.
