Man’s Near-Death Selfie Mishap on Train – Latest News from Turkey
A woman had a close call while taking a selfie in Adana recently. The incident occurred at Belemedik Nature Park in the Pozantı district, which is known for its beautiful natural scenery. A group of amateur photographers had gone to the park to capture the autumn views when the near tragedy unfolded.
As they passed through historic train tunnels, three women decided to take a selfie at a level crossing with a train approaching behind them. While posing with hand signs and laughing, one of the women didn’t calculate the distance properly, and the train struck her wrist. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the women laughed as the incident turned from a potential disaster.
The mayor of Pozantı, Mustafa Çay, has issued a warning to photographers following this incident. He noted that there have been several similar accidents lately and stated that they are working with officials from the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) to take precautions and prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
This serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of taking photos in risky locations and the importance of being cautious and aware of one’s surroundings while capturing the perfect shot. It is essential for photographers to prioritize their safety and well-being over getting the perfect picture.
