Market and neighborhood watchman martyred in a traffic accident in Ankara
A tragic incident occurred earlier this morning at the Lalegül Junction in the Demetevler District of Yenimahalle in Ankara. Halil Kara, a market and neighborhood watchman, intervened in an accident at the intersection and was unfortunately hit by another car. He was promptly taken to the Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital where he received medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Kara tragically succumbed to his injuries and became a martyr. Three suspects have been detained in connection with the accident, which was captured on security camera footage.
A ceremony in honor of Martyr Kara was held at the Ankara Police Department, attended by the martyr’s family and relatives, as well as Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Ankara Police Chief Engin Dinç, and numerous police officers and guards.
The funeral service for the martyr will take place at the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque following the afternoon prayer. The loss of Halil Kara has deeply affected the community, and he will be remembered for his bravery and dedication as a watchman in the neighborhood.
