Martyred Police Officer Şeyda Yılmaz Honored in Final Farewell
The recently deceased martyr Yılmaz was honored and remembered at a solemn ceremony held at the Crescent and Star Mosque. His body, draped in the Turkish flag, was brought to the Mosque for friends, family, and members of the community to pay their respects.
During the emotional ceremony, the martyr’s wife, Semih Yılmaz, expressed her sorrow as she hugged the coffin and shed tears. She lamented the fact that they had plans to visit Sivas, a city in central Turkey, and had even received permission to go. “We were going to come to Sivas, may the motherland be blessed. Did you want Sivas so much, we were going to set off today,” she mournfully shared with those in attendance.
The touching scene at the mosque highlighted the sacrifice made by Yılmaz in service to his country. The community came together to offer their condolences and support to his grieving family. The memory of martyr Yılmaz will be cherished and his service to his nation will not be forgotten.
