Masdar to Begin Construction of Solar Power Plant in June

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Energy, Taalaibek Ibraev, recently met with representatives from Abu Dhabi’s Future Energy Company, PJSC Masdar, to discuss the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 200 megawatts. The parties discussed locating the solar station on land plots in Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, and Naryn regions. The meeting resulted in the decision to send Arab specialists to Kyrgyzstan in mid-May to study the technical parameters of the project. Masdar will conduct research for four months under the contract, and the project’s implementation will begin in June. The station is expected to be operational in 2025.
