A recent attempt to produce and distribute fake alcohol has been foiled by authorities in Turkey. The operation, known as Çengel-13, was carried out by gendarmerie teams in all 81 provinces of the country.
During the operation, authorities raided the addresses of individuals suspected of producing counterfeit liquor. As a result, 10,600 liters of fake alcohol were seized and 37 suspects were detained.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya commented on the successful operation, stressing the importance of public cooperation in combating counterfeit alcohol producers. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activities related to fake alcohol production to the authorities.
The crackdown on counterfeit alcohol comes as part of ongoing inspections ahead of the New Year festivities. Authorities are working tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of the public by preventing the circulation of illicit and potentially harmful substances in the market.
As the investigation continues, the authorities remain vigilant in their efforts to track down and apprehend individuals involved in the production and distribution of fake alcohol. The message is clear: counterfeit alcohol producers will not be allowed to endanger the well-being of society.
