Massive Prostitution Ring Bust in Bishkek: 90 Prostitutes Detected during Raid
On January 17, 2025, a “Brothel” raid was conducted in Bishkek, resulting in the detection and apprehension of 90 prostitutes by law enforcement officials. The press service of the capital’s police department disclosed that approximately 50 establishments, including saunas, daily apartments, hotels, and suspected brothels, were inspected during the operation. Additionally, the authorities managed to resolve 60 criminal cases, locate two missing individuals, and issue 120 administrative citations totaling 500,000 soms.
The Main Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek is urging citizens with knowledge about venues offering intimate services or individuals involved in such illicit activities to come forward and report any pertinent information.
