“Massive Teacher Appointments to Take Place Today: 45 Thousand Jobs to be Filled”
The Ministry of National Education in Turkey has announced the appointment of 45,000 teachers in 103 different fields. This is the largest number of appointments made at one time in the country, according to the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.
In terms of the branches, the classroom teacher branch received the most quotas with 7,878 allocated, followed by guidance with 3,604 appointments, and preschool education coming in third with 3,269 quotas.
The government has also confirmed that more than half of the appointed teachers will be assigned to the earthquake zone, with over 22,500 teachers to be focused on 10 provinces affected by the earthquake. This is expected to be a significant boost to the education sector in these areas.
The newly appointed teachers will take up their posts on September 1, and this appointment will help to improve the quality of education, especially in areas that have been affected by disasters.
