Kadir Aydar: From Entrepreneur to Mayor
Kadir Aydar, born on June 6, 1988 in the Ceyhan district of Adana, has had quite a journey to his current position as the former Mayor of Ceyhan. Aydar completed his education in his hometown, graduating from Piri Reis University in Istanbul with a degree in Oceangoing Shift Captain. He furthered his education by studying Management, Marketing, and Accounting at Çukurova University and Public Administration at Anadolu University.
After obtaining his education, Aydar delved into the world of business by establishing a contracting company. Alongside his business endeavors, Aydar was also involved in various community organizations. He served as a member of the Ceyhan Commodity Exchange Assembly, a member of the Ceyhan Business Development Center Board of Directors, and the Vice President of the Ceyhan Young Businessmen Association. Additionally, he held the position of CHP Ceyhan District Chairman before being elected Mayor of Ceyhan on March 31, 2019.
However, Aydar’s time as Mayor was short-lived as his certificate of election was canceled by the Supreme Election Board (YSK) in March 2020 due to a penalty in his criminal record. Despite this setback, Aydar remains a prominent figure in Ceyhan. On a personal note, he is a married man.
