Meeting Between President of Turkmenistan and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan
Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Welcomes Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov
President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, recently met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov. The meeting took place on March 27, 2025, as the Minister visited Turkmenistan to participate in the 20th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Central Asia – European Union.
During the meeting, Minister Saidov expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to discuss key areas of cooperation between the two countries. He conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to President Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov welcomed Minister Saidov and reciprocated the warm wishes to the leadership of Uzbekistan. He expressed confidence in the constructive nature of the visit and the importance of the discussions for furthering bilateral and multilateral relations.
Highlighting the importance of strong neighborly ties, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening relations with Uzbekistan. The mutual trust and openness in their dialogue serve as key factors in the development of their partnership.

The leaders also discussed expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, energy, transportation, and agriculture. They noted the progress in cultural, scientific, and educational exchanges, which contribute to closer ties between the two peoples.
President Berdimuhamedov reiterated Turkmenistan’s dedication to enhancing its strategic partnership with Uzbekistan for the benefit of both nations. As the meeting concluded, both leaders wished each other well and expressed confidence in the continued progress of their bilateral and multilateral relations.
