Turkmenistan and Georgia Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

On 24 April 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Georgia, D. Seyitmammedov, had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, G. Arveladze.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current high level of bilateral relations and explored opportunities to further expand trade and economic ties, enhance investment cooperation, and work on joint projects for the development of transport, logistics, and energy infrastructure. They also discussed creating conditions for direct contacts between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Georgia.

The meeting also touched on the upcoming regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation. The Ambassador took the opportunity to inform G. Arveladze about the upcoming celebrations for the 300th Anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher, Magtymguly Fragi, in 2024.

Both sides expressed confidence that the relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia, built on friendship, mutual respect, and trust, will continue to grow for the benefit of both countries’ peoples. The meeting took place in a friendly and trusting atmosphere.
