Meeting with the President of Iran
A meeting was held with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
On February 12, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, visited Tehran and held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masuda Ceseshkian.
During the meeting, Minister Meredov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, to President Ceseshkian.
President Ceseshkian thanked the Turkmen side for the kind words and extended his greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan. He also highlighted the growing ties between Iran and Turkmenistan, emphasizing the significance of a recent telephone conversation with Chairman Berdymukhamedov where they discussed important matters of mutual cooperation in politics, trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian affairs.
Furthermore, President Ceseshkian expressed Iran’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Turkmenistan in energy, transportation, water resources, and other areas.
Both parties acknowledged the importance of joint initiatives in the context of the international year of peace and trust. This meeting marks a positive step towards enhancing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran.
