Meeting with UN OHCHR Regional Representative for Central Asia

Furthermore, discussions revolved around the implementation of various national action plans such as the “National Action Plan on Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025”, “National Action Plan on Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025”, and “National Action Plan for the Implementation of Children’s Rights in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028”.

The participants also reviewed the outcomes of dialogues within the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Committee on the Rights of the Child. They expressed their commitment to working together to implement the recommendations made during these dialogues.

Both sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the UN in the area of “Human Rights Education”.

Overall, the meeting highlighted the ongoing efforts of Turkmenistan in promoting and protecting human rights, as well as its commitment to working closely with international partners like the UN OHCHR to achieve these goals.
