MHP Leader Devlet Bahceli Warns of CHP’s Dangerous Agenda
The Nationalist Movement Party Chairman, Devlet Bahceli, issued a statement on March 6, 2025, expressing concern over the escalating armed conflicts in Syrian cities such as Latakia, Tartus, Hama, Homs, and Dera. Bahceli warned that these conflicts not only threaten the peace and stability of neighboring regions but also pose a significant risk to the internal order and peace of Turkey.
Bahceli pointed out that external forces are manipulating ethnic and sectarian tensions in Syria, creating chaos and instability in the region. He criticized the Republican People’s Party (CHP) for exploiting these tensions and engaging in divisive politics, particularly in relation to Turkey’s Alevi community. Bahceli emphasized that the Alevi and Sunni communities are an integral part of Turkey and should not be divided by political manipulation.
The Nationalist Movement Party leader called on all political parties, including the CHP and the Democratic Party, to reject sectarian and ethnic provocations and work towards peace and unity. He warned against the dangers of using terrorism and divisive tactics for political gain, urging all politicians to act responsibly and in the best interests of the nation.
