MIA Responds to Reports of World Boxing Championship Brawl

Contrary to social media rumors, a mass brawl did not take place at the World Boxing Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shokhrukh Giyasov, on May 13, during the ceremony of distributing leather gloves, fans violated the order by not giving way to each other. However, the event organizers quickly restored order and no public order violations occurred.
Despite the false rumors about a mass brawl, the Uzbekistan boxing team achieved impressive results at the World Boxing Championship. They won a total of nine medals, including five gold medals, breaking their previous record for the best result in the history of world championships. This achievement is a significant milestone for the team and Uzbekistan as a whole.
In today’s age of social media, information can spread rapidly, regardless of its accuracy. It is important to verify the authenticity of news and information before sharing it online. False information can cause unnecessary panic and harm a country’s image. It is commendable that the organizers of the boxing championship were able to restore order quickly and prevent any further disruption to the tournament.
