Mike Sharavjamts to Attend Chicago Event
Former Dayton Flyers guard Mike Sharavjamts has received an invitation to the G League Elite Camp, which will take place on May 13 and 14 in Chicago, preceding the NBA Draft Combine from May 15 to 21 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Last year, 44 players were invited to the G League Elite Camp, and select players moved on to participate in the combine. The camp provides draft prospects with the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches, and front-office executives by participating in strength and agility drills and playing in five-on-five games.
In addition, according to a report by the Mongolian Hoops Instagram account, Sharavjamts has scheduled workouts with the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and the Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-8 guard/forward announced his decision to leave Dayton after one season on March 28. He was the only freshman on Dayton’s roster, and the first Mongolian citizen to play Division I men’s basketball. Sharavjamts made the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Rookie team, averaging 5.6 points and 2.6 assists in 30 games, starting in 20 of them.
Sharavjamts’ invitation to the G League Elite Camp is a significant opportunity for the former Dayton Flyer as it allows him to showcase his skills in front of scouts and executives. The workout opportunities with NBA teams are also a good sign as these workouts are typically reserved for players who have a good chance of being drafted or signed by NBA teams during the offseason. Sharavjamts will undoubtedly be looking to make a strong impression during the NBA Draft Combine and these workouts, hoping to extend his basketball career at the sport’s highest level.
