Military Positions Announcement for May Summons Period
The Ministry of National Defense has recently announced the details regarding the military service preference, classification, and referral procedures for reserve officer candidates, reserve petty officer candidates, and privates who will be recruited in the May 2024 classification period.
Individuals who were eagerly awaiting information about their places of military service and draft dates for May, June, and July 2024 can now mark their calendars. According to the Ministry of National Defense, the summoning locations will be announced in the first week of May.
Additionally, the selection and classification results will be made available to taxpayers via e-Government on May 3, 2024. This announcement, titled “MAY 2024 CLASSIFICATION PERIOD ANNOUNCEMENT,” also includes the transfer dates for reserve officers, petty officer candidates, non-commissioned officers, and privates.
In a statement, the Ministry of National Defense explained that classified individuals will not be subject to reclassification. However, those reserved for reserve officer/petty officer candidacy who fail to provide a valid excuse during the summons and referral period will be referred to the military as privates. These individuals will be able to obtain the referral document from e-Government or the military branch 10 days before the referral date.
The transfer dates for reserve officer/petty officer candidates and privates are as follows: Reserve Officer/NCO Candidates and Private (1st Group) on May 16, 2024, Private (2nd Group) on June 27, 2024, and Private (3rd Group) on July 25, 2024.
