Miniature Bomb Found on SOLOTÜRK’s F-16 Fighter Jet
ASELSAN, the Turkish defense company, has showcased its TOLUN miniature bomb during the Anatolian Eagle 2023/2 training. The bomb was mounted on SOLOTÜRK’s F-16 fighter plane with the SADAK4T intelligent multi-carrying saloon. SOLOTÜRK has been performing combat missions, and TOLUN has passed firing tests from the F-16 and AKINCI TİHA. ASELSAN announced the TOLUN IIR, which has an infrared seeker-head guidance system, can be launched from an air platform through the Multiple Transport Area (SADAK-4T). The ammunition can hit moving and soft ground targets and has two-way communication and man in the loop shooting modes. The target can be precisely selected and updated in pilot-controlled mode, thanks to the data link pod and data link, which establishes two-way communication between post-shot platforms and ammunition.
