Minister Akar stresses ‘stability’: Breaking News on Milliyet
National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar addressed his fellow citizens at an event organized by Talas Municipality. During the event, he spoke about Turkey’s fight against terrorism and stated that they are working for the welfare and survival of the nation. Akar emphasized that the breath of the Mehmetçi (Turkish soldiers) is on the backs of terrorists and they are determined to save their noble nation from the scourge of terrorism.
Akar stated that they have the strength to overcome any obstacle or problem with the love, trust, and prayers of the nation. He highlighted that terrorists are looking for a way to escape, but Mehmetçik has come to places called ‘no exit’ and entered places called ‘inaccessible’. Akar stressed the importance of stability and urged citizens to vote in the upcoming elections for the sake of the 85 million people in Turkey.
However, Akar also warned about the pitfalls towards the elections. He mentioned that there are those who talk to terrorists, take wisdom from them, and give them promises. Some try to manipulate the elections by suggesting there are people waiting for evacuation and planning to remove them. Akar affirmed that the nation won’t allow this, and there will be no more funerals, martyrs, and tears.
The crowd interrupted Akar’s speech with the slogans “Kayseri is proud of you,” to which he replied, “We are proud of Kayseri.” Citizens showed great interest in Akar, who later came together with the disabled and their families in the Ottoman House.
As the National Defense Minister, Akar’s message against terrorism has been consistent. In previous statements, Akar has said that terrorists are bleeding, and they will end. His recent speech reaffirms his commitment to the fight against terrorism and the importance of stability for Turkey’s future prosperity.
