Furthermore, Minister Ataoğlu mentioned efforts to enhance the operational capacity of the newly opened airport. He highlighted the increase in flights and planes, as well as the push for new airline companies to initiate flights to Northern Cyprus.

Regarding accommodation facilities, Minister Ataoğlu stated that work is underway to boost the number of beds and hotels in the country. Additionally, he discussed plans for the introduction of an ‘Airbnb’ law to regulate the rental of properties to tourists, ensuring proper monitoring and tax collection.

Minister Ataoğlu affirmed that the draft law is ready and will be presented to parliament for consideration. He emphasized the importance of swiftly passing the legislation to enhance tourism management and support economic growth in Northern Cyprus.
