Minister Bilgin Confirms EYT Members to Receive Payments until Month-end: Breaking Turkey News
Turkey’s Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, made an appearance on NTV live broadcast to address some of the pressing issues facing the country. Among the highlights of his statements were his comments on the latest developments in politics, the minimum salary for civil servants, and updates on pension increases and EYT applications.
Regarding Muharrem İnce’s withdrawal from the candidacy, Bilgin stated that a dirty operation is unacceptable. He also hinted that the address of the operation appeared to be in Pennsylvania. On the other hand, he called out Kılıçdaroğlu to reveal any information he may have about the Russians, given his recent claims.

The Minister further announced that the lowest civil servant salary would be increased to 22 thousand liras. Similarly, over 7,500 pensions would also increase, with different rates of increase for those who earn more than 7,500 TL in July. Bilgin emphasized that the purpose of these adjustments is to make them comfortable.
Regarding EYT applications, the Minister revealed that the total number of applicants had reached 1.7 million, with 1 million EYT members already receiving payment. He projected that all EYT members would be paid by the end of the month, including their accumulated salaries and holiday bonuses.
Finally, Bilgin touched upon the scope of the 3600 additional indicators and their full readiness. He added that once the parliament reopens, all public officials who come to the first degree will benefit from them.
