Minister Günden Offers Condolences to Slain Soldier’s Family
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler Pays Condolence Visit to Martyr’s House
On December 15, 2023, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler paid a condolence visit to the father’s house in Ankara of Infantry Lieutenant Eril Alperen Emir, who was martyred in the Claw-Lock Operation region. The visit was attended by Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Land Forces Commander General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and Air Forces Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.
During the visit, Minister Güler and the accompanying TSK Command Level expressed their condolences and patience to the family of the martyr. Prayers were made for the heroic martyr by reading the Quran, and Minister Güler praised the bravery and heroism of Lieutenant Emir. He stated, “We lost our son Alperen as a martyr 2 days ago, our pain is great. But yesterday, his friends took revenge on him and neutralized 5 terrorists. There is no rest for us until we take revenge on our lost brothers. He showed great heroism but became a martyr. He was martyred, leaving a great honor to us and his family. We will always carry his memory and keep it alive in our hearts. I once again offer my condolences to our family. “May the soul of our heroic martyr rest in peace,” he said.
The visit was a solemn and emotional occasion, with the Minister and other officials expressing their support for the family of the fallen soldier. The sacrifice and bravery of Lieutenant Emir were honored and remembered, and his memory will live on in the hearts of the Turkish people.
