Minister Vedat Işıkhan Emphasizes Importance of Social Responsibility
Minister Işıkhan recently spoke at the “Common Future Program” award ceremony organized by the Confederation of Employer Associations of Turkey (TİSK). During his speech, he highlighted the significance of social responsibility and its impact on the country, the nation, humanity, and the future of working life.
He emphasized the need for producing solutions, taking responsibility, and contributing to humanity through social responsibility initiatives. Minister Işıkhan expressed his belief that every step and project aimed at advancing humanity is valuable and contributes to the progress of society.
Işıkhan also addressed the role of Turkey in the global landscape, stating that the country is determined to stand on its own feet and make significant contributions in various fields. He credited entrepreneurial individuals, investor companies, employers supporting employment, and unions and non-governmental organizations for their efforts in promoting the health and unity of the nation.
Additionally, Işıkhan highlighted the importance of social dialogue and announced the reconvening of the tripartite advisory board after 5 years. He emphasized the need for addressing the challenges faced in the working life and presented solutions through productive meetings and regular social dialogue mechanisms.
Looking ahead, Işıkhan noted that the commission meetings to determine the minimum wage level for 2024 will commence on December 11. He reassured the public that the process will be carried out with sensitivity and understanding, aiming to achieve a consensus that will benefit both workers and employers.
