Minister Kacır Reports Record Increase in Exports to 262 Billion Dollars

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır recently highlighted Turkey’s remarkable achievements in the field of exports, stating that the country has seen significant growth over the past 22 years. Kacır emphasized that under the leadership of the industry, Turkey has managed to increase its exports from 36 billion dollars to 262 billion dollars in various sectors such as automotive, chemicals, machinery, steel, defense, aviation, textiles, and furniture. During his visit to Nevşehir, Minister Kacır participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new government office in the Avanos district. The new service building, which will cover an area of ​​5,500 square meters, aims to enhance the infrastructure for various sectors in the region. Kacır expressed his satisfaction in bringing this project to Avanos, highlighting the significant progress made in education, health, agriculture, transportation, industry, technology, and tourism in the last two decades.

Speaking about the achievements in industrial and technological development, Minister Kacır mentioned that Turkey has become a global production base with the establishment of organized industrial zones and technoparks. He also emphasized the importance of R&D and design centers in fostering innovation and growth in the country.

Furthermore, Minister Kacır announced that 501 million lira in support has been provided to 195 projects in Nevşehir through the Ahiler Development Agency (AHİKA). He highlighted the efforts to promote cultural and tourism activities in the region, including Nevşehir’s inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for gastronomy.

Kacır continued to discuss ongoing projects in Avanos, focusing on the development of pottery and ceramics industries. He mentioned plans to combine waste recycling initiatives with pottery production in order to create products with higher added value. Additionally, Minister Kacır outlined plans for supporting investments in Cappadocia, including the establishment of an Underground Data Center and a Hot Air Balloon Production Facility.
