Minister of Health Koca’s Post for World Diabetes Day

Minister Koca Raises Awareness for World Diabetes Day
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca took to social media to share an important message about World Diabetes Day on November 14th. In his post, Minister Koca emphasized the importance of understanding and controlling diabetes, a disease that affects one in every 10 adults worldwide.
Minister Koca highlighted the two main types of diabetes, type 1 and type 2, and stressed the significance of following a doctor’s strategy for managing the disease. He mentioned that type 1 diabetes can be controlled with daily insulin injections or an insulin pump, while type 2 diabetes may require healthy nutrition, regular exercise, and sometimes medication or insulin.
Furthermore, Minister Koca emphasized the importance of regular monitoring of blood sugar levels and the need for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week. He also provided valuable tips for reducing the risk of diabetes, such as adopting a healthy diet, avoiding processed foods, and maintaining a healthy body weight.
Minister Koca pointed out that certain groups, such as older people, individuals with a family history of diabetes, and those with obesity and low physical activity, are at a higher risk for diabetes. He urged individuals in these groups to prioritize regular health check-ups, ideal body weight, healthy nutrition, and regular exercise.
As World Diabetes Day approaches, Minister Koca called on diabetics and those in the risk group to follow the advice of their physicians and to be mindful of their health. He emphasized the importance of awareness and proactive measures in managing diabetes.
On World Diabetes Day, let us keep Minister Koca’s important message in mind and promote greater understanding and action for diabetes prevention and management.
