Minister Tunç Provides Update on Investigation into Murder of Narin Güran
Minister Tunç recently attended a reception at the Ceremony Hall of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) for the opening of the 28th Term, 3rd Legislative Year. During the event, he spoke to the press about the ongoing investigation into the murder of Narin Güran.
Narin Güran, a young girl, went missing on August 21 and her lifeless body was found 19 days later, sparking a nationwide search effort. Minister Tunç expressed his deep sadness over the tragic incident and assured the public that the investigation into the murder is progressing effectively.
The Minister mentioned that there are forensic medicine reports and DNA findings that are crucial to the investigation. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of the investigation to ensure its success and urged everyone to act responsibly in this regard.
Currently, there are 28 suspects in the case, with 12 of them already detained in prison. Minister Tunç assured the public that all evidence will be carefully evaluated by public prosecutors and that those responsible for the murder will be brought to justice and face the harshest penalties under the Turkish Penal Code.
He also addressed concerns about a publication ban, explaining that it was necessary to prevent statements that could mislead the investigation. Minister Tunç emphasized that the active investigation is ongoing and urged the public to have faith in the justice system.
As the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran continues, Minister Tunç reassured the public that every effort is being made to bring those responsible to justice.
