Minister Yerlikaya Announces, Children’s Reactions on Discord and Telegram
Minister Yerlikaya Takes Action Against Social Media Bullies
In a recent post on social media, Minister Yerlikaya announced that two children, identified as BT and ADC, who were involved in inappropriate activities on the Discord and Telegram platforms, will be taken in for questioning.
BT was found editing incriminating videos on Discord, while ADC was reported to have shared inappropriate content in a group on Telegram. As a result, both children have been placed under protection by the Izmir Cyber Crimes Branch.
The Public Prosecutor, along with a psychologist, will be present during the questioning of BT and ADC. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized that those who engage in cyberbullying, insult national and moral values, and incite hatred and hostility will not be tolerated.
“We will not allow individuals to use our children for their perverse intentions,” stated Minister Yerlikaya. “No matter where they try to hide, we will track them down and bring them to justice.”
The Minister’s announcement has sparked a renewed focus on the importance of monitoring and regulating online activities, especially those that involve children. The government is determined to crackdown on those who use social media platforms for illegal and harmful purposes.
