Minister Yerlikaya Announces Crackdown on Telegram and Discord Cyberbullies: C31K Administrators Arrested
Minister Yerlikaya announced a new operation against bullies on popular social sharing platforms Telegram and Discord. The administrators of the group named C31K were caught in the operation.
In a statement on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya revealed that the Ankara Police Department had identified the person known as ‘Hz. Ebu Cehil’ as a child named EK, who was actively involved in the C31K group on Telegram and Discord. Under the coordination of the Ankara Police Department, the child has been taken under protection by the Zile District Police Department. Another administrator named ‘Arda Bateman’ was identified as a child named AT and has been taken under protection by the Istanbul Police Department.
Minister Yerlikaya emphasized the importance of protecting children and young people from individuals spreading harmful content on social media. He stated, “We will not show mercy to those who try to poison our society, especially our children and young people, with their perverted thoughts on social media. We have a reckoning to settle with bullies who force our children to sexually abuse, and those who tend to commit violence against women and spread grudges and hatred.”
Furthermore, Minister Yerlikaya reassured the public that their fight against criminal groups promoting violence against women and sexual abuse will continue. He emphasized that they will not rest until all perpetrators are brought to justice. The Minister urged the nation to stand together in ensuring peace and security, stating, “We do not have a single child, young person, or person to lose due to poison merchants and perverted thought movements. We exist to ensure peace and security with our 600 thousand personnel. We will not step back from this.”
