Minister Yerlikaya Shows Solidarity with Gaza in Ramadan Iftar Program
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya recently participated in the “Gaza hand in hand for Gaza” iftar program in Konya. The event, which welcomed 80 families at the Seljuk Congress Center, aimed to show support for the people of Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan.
During his speech at the iftar program, Minister Yerlikaya emphasized the importance of solidarity and brotherhood. He stated, “We do not see the Palestinian issue as a foreign policy issue. The people of Gaza are always with us, and we stand by them as heirs of a civilization that has ruled with justice to three continents.”
Minister Yerlikaya highlighted the significance of the Palestinian cause as a test of human conscience. He expressed Turkey’s ongoing support for Gaza, stating, “Türkiye has not left Gaza alone and will not leave. We have sent humanitarian aid and established hospitals to help those in need. Our new campaign, ‘Hand for Gaza,’ aims to mobilize aid and support for the people of Gaza.”
The event also saw the participation of Konya Governor Ibrahim Akin, AK Party Konya deputies, and other local officials. Minister Yerlikaya thanked everyone for their contributions and emphasized the importance of solidarity and sharing blessings with those in need.
