Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya Visits Tradesmen in Üsküdar
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya recently paid a visit to tradesmen in Üsküdar, accompanied by Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı and Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen. During his visit, Minister Yerlikaya had the opportunity to chat with the shopkeepers of Üsküdar, take photos with the citizens, and enjoy some dibek coffee offered by the tradesmen.
One of the highlights of the visit was Minister Yerlikaya’s meeting with Yıldız Özkadif, a retired teacher who had taught at Alaeddin Primary School in Konya, where the Minister himself had graduated in 1979. Özkadif expressed his admiration for Minister Yerlikaya, stating, “We were proud of you.” Minister Yerlikaya also reminisced about his own teacher, Hayriye Bağcı, whom he had visited in Adana.
During his interaction with the tradesmen, Minister Yerlikaya emphasized the importance of prayers and support for the heroic police, gendarmerie, and coast guard. He highlighted Üsküdar as the heart and center of Istanbul, expressing his confidence in Mayor Hilmi Türkmen and the city’s trustee to continue their work with the support of the community.
As Minister Yerlikaya took the time to connect with the citizens and tradesmen of Üsküdar, he made sure to capture moments with them in photos and appreciated the hospitality of the dibek coffee offered during his visit.
