The event, held at a hotel in the Kayapınar district, was attended by Governor Zorluoğlu, Security Director General Mehmet Aktaş, Gendarmerie General Commander General Arif Çetin, Provincial Security Director Fatih Kaya, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Selçuk Yıldırım, as well as the families of martyrs and veterans. The program began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by Minister Yerlikaya expressing his gratitude to the veterans for their sacrifices.

Yerlikaya highlighted the importance of protecting the homeland and upholding the trust of martyrs and veterans who have given their lives for the country. He praised the heroes who have fought against terrorism and defended the nation during times of crisis.

After the event, Minister Yerlikaya addressed the media regarding the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, whose body was discovered 19 days after she went missing on August 21. He reassured the public that justice will prevail and emphasized that the matter is currently in the hands of the courts.

“We are all waiting to see the outcome of the judicial process. Rest assured that justice will be served,” Yerlikaya stated.
