Ministry of National Defense’s 2024 Strategy for Combating Terrorist Organizations
The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey has recently announced its commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces with the use of domestic and national defense industry products. In a post shared on the ministry’s social media account, it was highlighted that the army is continuously working on developing weapon systems to make Turkey a larger and stronger nation.
The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that all units and institutions under its jurisdiction are dedicated to fulfilling their duties with determination to maintain peace and security in the country and protect its citizens. The ministry aims to continue this mission in the year 2024 and beyond.
In a related development, the ministry also released the first part of a four-part video series showcasing the activities of the Turkish Armed Forces in 2024. The video detailed the efforts of the armed forces in protecting the country’s borders, fighting terrorism, and safeguarding national interests.
The Turkish Armed Forces have been actively involved in operations against terrorist organizations such as PKK/KCK/PYD/YPG and DAESH in regions like northern Iraq and Syria. In 2024 alone, a significant number of terrorists were neutralized, caves and shelters were destroyed, and weapons and ammunition were seized. The armed forces also successfully prevented illegal border crossings and apprehended individuals attempting to enter the country unlawfully.
The video series aims to highlight the sacrifices and heroism of the Turkish Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation’s borders and ensuring the security of its citizens. The armed forces remain committed to their mission of protecting the integrity and sovereignty of Turkey, working tirelessly in challenging conditions to achieve their goals.
